Pashinyan: Armenia is not an ally of Russia on the issue of Ukraine
Yerevan is not an ally of Moscow regarding what is happening on the territory of Ukraine. This statement was made by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a meeting with representatives of the Armenian diaspora in Germany.
“I have long said that Armenia is not an ally of Russia on the issue of Ukraine. And this is our sincere position,” Pashinyan said.
He added that Yerevan is “hurt” because Armenia cannot influence the situation that has arisen in Ukraine, and also called the Ukrainians a friendly people for the Armenians.
In addition, Pashinyan recalled the Alma-Ata Declaration of 1991, which was signed by the former republics of the USSR, including the Russian Federation and Ukraine, recognizing each other’s borders and the territorial integrity of states.
