Armed Forces of Ukraine interrupted the last transmission line of electricity from ZNPP to Ukraine

The Ukrainian military has broken the last power transmission line from the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) to Ukraine, Volodymyr Rogov, a member of the main council of the pro-Russian military-civilian administration of the region, said on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.
According to him, there were four power transmission lines in total, three of them had already been killed due to intense shelling. “Yesterday, as far as I know, the fourth line was interrupted, respectively, it is simply physically impossible to transfer energy to the right bank of the Dnieper,” Rogov noted (quote according to TASS).
He also noted that the situation at the ZNPP is “controlled”, electricity is generated and supplied directly on the territory of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, which are occupied by the Russian troops.
On the eve of the Ukrainian “Energoatom” announced the first ever disconnection from the power grid of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant. The reason was fires at ash dumps on the territory of the Zaporizhzhya TPP, which is located next to the nuclear power plant.
During the special operation, the Russian army took control of a part of the Zaporozhye region of Ukraine, including Energodar, where the largest nuclear power plant in Europe, the ZNPP, is located. Now the Armed Forces of Ukraine are regularly shelling Energodar, the surrounding villages and the territory of the ZNPP adjacent to the city, the Ministry of Defense and local authorities report.
In this regard, the Council of the State Duma of the Russian Federation called on the UN and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to demand that Kyiv immediately stop shelling the ZNPP. It is assumed that the IAEA mission can arrive at the ZNPP before September 5, it will include representatives of security agencies and officials responsible for accounting for nuclear materials at the facility, which will allow for an examination of the shelling of the station.
