Arkhangelsk “Vodnik” won the semi-final of the Russian championship

Arkhangelsk “Vodnik” won the semi-finals of the Russian championship.

The game was held on March 10 at the home stadium of the “yellow-greens” – the Arkhangelsk “Trud”. Recall that Arkhangelsk hockey players for the fourth time in the past five years reached the semifinals of the Russian Championship.

In the first half, the hosts had the advantage, but in the second half, the guests clearly stepped up their pressure. Until the very end of the match, the intrigue remained, but in the end, the victory went to Vodnik. So, the scoring in today’s match was opened by the captain of “Vodnik” Evgeny Dergaev – in the 18th minute. The first goal was preceded by a tense struggle and two removals – one player from each team. The captain of the “yellow-greens” also scored the second goal in the game, thus scoring a double.

After an exchange of dangerous moments, “Kuzbass” scored a return goal, trying to close the gap. As a result, the first half ended with the score 2:1. By the way, about 7,500 spectators came to the Arkhangelsk stadium to watch today’s match – they all actively supported their native club. The guests equalized the score as soon as they left the locker room. Then, a few minutes later, Kuzbass scored another goal against the Arkhangelsk team.

When it seemed that the outcome of the match was a foregone conclusion, the Arkhangelsk team found the strength and scored three goals in a row in a few minutes. Kuzbass responded to such an impulse with the fifth goal – the main time of the game ended with a score of 5:5. In overtime, the captain of “Vodnik” scored the last decisive goal in this game. Evgeny Dergaev, with his hat-trick, ensured the victory of the “yellow-greens” in the first match of the semi-finals of the 31st Russian Bandy Championship.
