Arkhangelsk “Vodnik” sums up the results of the hockey season

Another hockey season has come to an end. The Vodnik team won silver medals at the Russian Championship. Ivan Maksimov’s team played “to win” in every match, played smartly, interestingly, and, at the same time, with passion, giving all their strength on the ice field. This is also seen by the fans who are actively returning to the stands of the Trud stadium. For the fourth year in a row, the Arkhangelsk club ranks first in the country in terms of attendance at home matches.

Arkhangelsk is once again becoming the Mecca of bandy, where many all-Russian competitions are held – from children’s competitions to the final of the Russian Super Cup. In recent years, a new generation of talented hockey players has grown up, whose level of skill, vision of the field, physical and tactical preparation is admirable. The club’s management relies on its own students: more than half of Vodnik’s players are representatives of Arkhangelsk, Severodvinsk, and Plesetsk bandy schools. The most talented of them, as well as the coaches of the yellow-green squad, are part of the Russian national team. All this became possible thanks to the support and joint work with the Russian Bandy Federation.

The next season is special for the yellow-green club. In 2025, the Vodnik team will celebrate its centenary. We really hope that it will be a happy one for our team – with many beautiful matches, full stands and winning the most honorable trophies in bandy.
