Arkhangelsk “Vodnik” is preparing for the games of the second round of the championship of Russia. On December 19, in Krasnogorsk, Vodnik played the final match in the outgoing year in the framework of the Russian bandy championship with the reigning champion of the country, Dynamo Moscow.

For more than a decade, the confrontation between these teams has been one of the most fundamental in domestic bandy. Therefore, the motivation of the players was prohibitive.

Muscovites were the first to open an account. The northerners gradually began to escalate the situation at the gates of Dynamo.

First, a penalty was awarded for a foul on Evgeny Dergaev, which Sergei Kalinin converted in cold blood. Following this, a masterpiece was created by central defender Danil Kuzmin: after going through almost the entire field, he went to Roman Chernykh and left the latter out of work – 2:1. Toward the end of the first half, Mikhail Sergeev turned out to be the quickest of all in the square of the current champions of the country – 3:1.

At the beginning of the second half of the meeting, the captain of the northerners reminded the hosts about himself, who was accurate after the ball from the corner flag – 4:1. In this situation, it is worth noting the selfless actions in defense of all the Vodnik players, who successfully held back the onslaught of Dynamo for a long time. The fifth goal was scored by Mikhail Sergeev.

At the same time, at the end of the meeting, the Arkhangelsk team made mistakes that allowed the Muscovites to reduce the goal difference to a minimum – 4:5. But in the end, the “yellow-greens” won, which for the “Vodnik” was the first on the field of Muscovites over the past six years. As a result, Vodnik will meet the New Year in the first place of the Russian championship, informs the Ministry of Sports of the Arkhangelsk Region.
