Arkhangelsk “Vodnik” defeated the Nizhny Novgorod “Start” as part of an away tour. The yellow-greens created a lot of dangerous chances at the gates of Nizhny Novgorod, and turned into goals only a small part of them. However, this was enough for the Arkhangelsk team to confidently lead the score throughout the meeting. Finally, all questions about the winner were removed by the northerners at the beginning of the second half, when three unanswered balls flew into the Start gate. As a result, Vodnik finished its first away tour this season with a confident victory – 7:4. In its composition, doubles were scored by Evgeny Dergaev and Denis Lapshin, Sergey Kalinin, Alexander Legoshin and Pavel Pozhilov scored once each.

– It rained throughout the match, but despite this, we managed to create a lot of dangerous chances at the opponent’s goal. Hockey in such weather conditions is very energy-intensive, but the guys have to go through such games,” Vodnik head coach Ilyas Khandaev summed up the match.

On November 10, Vodnik will return to Arkhangelsk, where it will prepare for the first home match as part of the preliminary stage of the Russian Championship: on November 16, at the Trud stadium, it will host Murmansk Murman.
