Arkhangelsk “Vodnik” defeated “Start” in its first match of the Russian Championship. Region 29 news agency reports that despite the expectations of spectators and fans, the players of the Nizhny Novgorod club were the first to take the initiative in the match – in the first 15 minutes they scored two goals against the Arkhangelsk team.
The captain of the yellow-greens, Evgeniy Dergaev, “soaked” the score in the 19th minute, once again justifying his constant position as the leader. His goal clearly inspired the Vodnik players – before the end of the first half they scored two more goals, securing an advantage in the first half of the game. So, the teams approached the second half with a score of 3:2 in favor of the northerners.
It began with Evgeniy Dergaev scoring the fourth goal for his team in the first seconds, scoring a double. After this, the teams exchanged goals, and the commander of the “yellow-greens” decided to seize the initiative again, scoring his third goal (sixth for the team) and thus completing a hat-trick.
Severodvinsk resident Daniil Kuzmin put an end to the first game for Vodnik in this Russian Bandy Championship. As a result, the match ended with a score of 7:3 in favor of the Arkhangelsk team.
It remains to be noted that Vodnik’s next game will take place this Thursday, November 9th – the “yellow-greens” will meet Ulyanovsk “Volga” on their field – at the Volga-Sport-Arena stadium.
