Arkhangelsk swimmers won eight medals at the All-Russian Spartakiad

The All-Russian Olympics of the Special Olympics in swimming, roller sports and artistic gymnastics have ended in Penza. The competition was attended by 469 people, including 278 athletes with mental disabilities from 38 regions of Russia. Three athletes represented the Arkhangelsk region. This is reported by the regional Ministry of Sports.
Ilya Shukalovich won two gold medals. Ilya became the best in swimming at distances of 200 and 400 meters freestyle in the first division, and also, as part of the national team of the Arkhangelsk and Moscow regions, took bronze in the relay race 4 by 50 meters freestyle in the first division.
Polina Kotova won gold in the 100m backstroke in Division I and was third in the 50m breaststroke in Division I.
Nadezhda Lyovkina took silver in the 100m freestyle in the second division, and was third in the 200m freestyle in the first division.
Polina and Nadezhda also won silver in the 4 x 50m medley relay in the first division. The girls performed together with athletes from the Stavropol Territory.
