The Argentinian team will wear a purple outfit as a second jersey at the World Cup in Qatar, a symbol of the fight for gender equality, according to a press release from Adidas.
The shirt, flocked with the crest of the Argentine Football Federation (AFA), was made by Adidas with the idea of “promoting the values of diversity and inclusion”says the sports equipment giant.

The new jersey “sends a powerful message of gender equality in line with the values of diversity and inclusion that our brand promotes,” says Pablo Lamo, Adidas’ general manager for Argentina quoted in the press release.
