The Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) will not be able to avoid trouble in the next two months, Oleksiy Arestovich, a former adviser to Volodymyr Zelensky’s office, said in a video posted on his Youtube channel.

According to him, probably in the next two months, the Armed Forces of Ukraine should expect a “bloody fight”, similar to the one that was in May-June, when Ukrainian servicemen were pushed back under pressure from Russian troops. “Some troubles we, apparently, cannot be avoided. A painfully large group is gathering, exceeding us in numbers after mobilization, and still exceeding in armaments, ”said Arestovich.

On January 19, Yevgeny Prigozhin, the founder of PMC Wagner, announced that he had taken control of the settlement of Kleshcheevka, which “is one of the important suburbs” of Artemovsk. The next day, the acting head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Denis Pushilin, said that Artemovsk was close to the operational encirclement. According to him, the fighters of PMC “Wagner” are moving forward “both day and night.” After that, the commander of the Akhmat special forces, Apty Alaudinov, reported that the city was close to the operational encirclement, almost all roads were blocked for the enemy.

On February 1, Andrey Marochko, a military expert and ex-lieutenant colonel of the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR), said that Russian troops had to go a few kilometers to encircle Artemovsk. He also added that if the Ukrainian troops try to get out of the encirclement, then “for them it could turn into a disaster.”

February 3 Russian Ministry of Defense in the daily summary reportedthat Russian troops, as a result of offensive actions in the Donetsk direction, took more advantageous positions. February 4 at the Ministry toldthat Russian servicemen ousted the Ukrainian military from the western outskirts of the village of Dvurechnoye, Kharkov region.

January 21 Arestovich declaredthat there are no guarantees that the Ukrainian side will win in the conflict with Russia. “If everyone thinks that we are guaranteed to win the war, then from the 14th it no longer looks like that,” he said.
