Residents of the Far East filmed a strange luminous object flying in the sky
Residents of the Khabarovsk Territory report the appearance of an unidentified flying object in the sky. According to eyewitnesses, the luminous ball was noticeable after 19:00 local time in Khabarovsk, Komsomolsk-on-Amur, and Svobodny.
According to the recorded videos, at first the object resembled a comet – a long “fiery” tail stretched behind the bright front part. After some time, the object began to either shed excess or fall apart.
Versions of what happened are multiplying on social networks. Some reasonably suggest that this could have been the passage of a rocket, which either discarded its stages or crashed and disintegrated in the atmosphere. However, there has been no information about accidents during space launches in the last few hours.
Another version is a meteorite. At the same time, the regional website dvnovosti.ru writes that “at the same moment, residents of Komsomolsk shared a video of a similar object taking off in their city.” Perhaps there was no “take-off”, but an optical illusion due to the tilt of the camera.
Some social media users were very afraid that an apocalypse or war had begun. “Are we being bombed?” – individual citizens ask.
