Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’ dismissed Archpriest Leonid Kalinin for obstructing the movement of the Trinity. This is reported on the website of the ROC.
Kalinin served as head of the expert council on church art, architecture and restoration of the Russian Orthodox Church, and was also a member of the Patriarchal Council for Culture. He was also banned from serving.
Earlier, the Ministry of Culture announced that the icon “Trinity” will be transferred from the Tretyakov Gallery to the Cathedral of Christ the Savior from July 4 for events in honor of the celebration of the Trinity. After the icon will be sent to the Holy Trinity Sergius Lavra.
