American Apple Corporation going launch new music streaming service Apple Music Classical on March 28. The app will be available for download from the App Store and will provide a broader and more detailed look at classical music than the main Apple Music app or other mainstream music services.
Apple Music Classical will run on a basic Apple Music subscription, and the music in the catalog will be available with spatial audio at 192 kbps. The app will have hundreds of playlists and thousands of exclusive albums, as well as composer biographies and guides. You can search by composer, work, conductor, or catalog number. The app will initially be released on iOS, but will also be available on Android in the future.
Apple bought the classical music service Primephonic in August 2021, after which it closed and all content moved to Apple Music. Apple initially planned to launch its own classic streaming service in 2022.
