The American company Apple raised the price of a monthly subscription to Apple Music and Apple TV + services by $1-2. The company explained this by increasing the cost of music licensing. The newspaper reported Financial Times with reference to the company’s statement.
An Apple Music subscription will increase by $1 per month to $10.99, and an Apple TV+ subscription will increase by $2 per month to $6.99. An annual subscription for Apple Music will rise to $109 from $99, and for Apple TV+ to $69 from $49.99.
A subscription to Apple One, which includes Apple Music, Apple TV+ and other services, will also rise in price by $2 per month to $16.95. The Apple One family plan with a multi-device account will go up to $22.95 from $19.95 per month.
As noted by the Financial Times, in addition to the rise in price of licensed music, the company’s decision is associated with rising inflation in the United States. In September, inflation in the US exceeded forecasts and amounted to 8.2% in annual terms.
Amazon, Netflix and Disney Plus have also raised monthly subscription prices in the past. According to the newspaper, the price of a subscription will soon be raised by the streaming music service Spotify.
