Apple within presentations Wonderlust presented a new generation of the branded iPhone smartphone – the iPhone 15 model received technical improvements while maintaining the same design.
The smartphone is offered in two versions – the basic iPhone 15 with a 6.1-inch display and the larger 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Plus – which have Super Retina XDR screens that are brighter than their predecessor. The smartphones lost the “bangs” and received the Dynamic Island element, previously available only on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The iPhone 15 family is equipped with the new A16 Bionic processor, and also received a battery that allows the smartphone to work for at least a day without recharging. As expected, the device has lost the Lightning connector – the USB-C port is used for charging, which is already implemented in MacBook laptops and iPad tablets, as well as in the new generation of Apple AirPods Pro 2 headphones.
The new items are equipped with an improved camera with a 48 megapixel main lens and a 12 megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, which work in combination with redesigned image processing algorithms. It is announced that there will be a function for sending user geolocation data via satellite communications, which will allow reporting emergency situations and calling rescuers. For two years after purchasing an iPhone 15, use of this option will be free for the owner of the smartphone.
The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are offered in five body colors and are priced from $799 and $899, respectively.
