Apple explained why VK apps were removed from the AppStore. They indicated that this was done in connection with sanctions from the UK, reports The Verge with reference to company representative Adam Dem.
“These applications are distributed by developers, most of whom are owned or controlled by one or more parties under UK government sanctions,” the publication says.
A company representative added that users who have already downloaded the removed apps will be able to continue using them.
All applications of the Russian holding VK were removed from the AppStore on Monday, September 26th.
