Apple has allowed Russian developers to integrate the ability to pay with third-party payment systems into their applications for iOS and iPadOS. At the same time, for purchases using third-party systems, Apple will charge a commission of 27%. The standard AppStore commission is 30%, the publication reported. iPhones.ru with reference to the company’s message.

Apple said in a statement that the decision was made in connection with the court’s decision. We are talking about finding the company guilty of violating antitrust laws in July 2022. The FAS considered that Apple was imposing on Russian iOS application developers the need to use the company’s payment instrument. The regulator also claimedthat the American company prohibited Russian developers from informing app buyers in the App Store about alternative payment methods. As a result, the court ordered Apple to pay a fine of 1.2 billion rubles.

The company has now allowed developers to add links to third-party payment systems into applications using the StoreKit External Purchase Link Entitlement (RU) permission. It allows developers to leave a link to their website, which contains information about the possibility of payment using other payment systems.

Apple’s message emphasizes that the ability to insert external links is available only to developers from Russia; links should not be displayed to users from other countries. Mention of third-party payment systems must comply with company requirements.
