A plane landed at Domodedovo Airport carrying 103 Russians evacuated from the Gas Strip, including 47 children. In total, since the beginning of the evacuation from Gaza, 656 people have flown to Russia, said Roman Okhotenko, director of the information policy department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The plane with evacuated Russians landed in Domodedovo at 0:38 Moscow time. Now arriving Russians are in the customs control zone. Doctors and volunteers work with them.
“Today the seventh evacuation flight from Cairo landed at Domodedovo Airport. It carried 103 people, 47 of them children. In total, 656 people have flown to Russia since the beginning of the evacuation. And 750 people crossed the Rafah checkpoint,” said Roman Okhotenko (quoted by RIA Novosti).
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, over the past 24 hours, 101 Russians passed through the Rafah checkpoint on the border of the Gaza Strip and Egypt. The number of requests for evacuation from the Gaza Strip from the Ministry of Emergency Situations increased to 909.
The evacuation of Russians from the Gaza Strip was organized after the outbreak of war between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas movement, which controls the enclave. The fighting has continued since October 7. For the first time, foreigners began release from Gaza on November 1. The first group of Russians evacuated November 12.
