Details of the surveillance of military correspondent Alexander Kots in Moscow have become known. At the end of last year, a citizen of Kazakhstan was caught and convicted for collecting information about the life of a journalist. But he, as MK wrotenot the only stalker.

Let us remind you that on December 26, a court in Moscow sentenced 28-year-old citizen of Kazakhstan Leonid Gutarov to one year in prison. Yulia Ivanova, senior assistant to the head of the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee for Moscow, reported this to MK. Gutarov pleaded guilty under the article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Violation of privacy” even at the stage of investigation of the criminal case.

The man admitted that, having not found the “target” at the address, he tried to find out information about the whereabouts of the military commander Kots from his wife. But the woman was vigilant and reported the suspicious guest to the police. Leonid Gutarov explained that he responded to an advertisement for part-time work and, for five thousand rubles a day, collected information about the movements of the military correspondent and his relatives.

As MK learned, the day after the verdict was pronounced, on December 27, 2023, the Investigative Committee opened another criminal case under the article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Violation of privacy.”

According to our information, the intelligence services provided investigators with materials that indicate that in addition to Gutarov, at least two more people were watching the house of Alexander Kots. This was achieved thanks to modern technical capabilities. Investigative officers are looking for the alleged stalkers.
