CD Projekt RED announced work on a remake of The Witcher game on the Unreal Engine 5 engine.
“We are pleased to announce that we are working with Fools Theory on a remake of The Witcher using Unreal Engine 5,” The Witcher tweeted.
Fools Theory is producing a new version of the title.
CD Projekt RED addressed the fans of the game with the words: “please be patient.” They explained that they want to “do everything right”, but so far they have refrained from details. “It will be some time before we can share more details,” the statement said.
Representatives of CD Projekt RED said that under their control the game is being created from scratch. While it’s in its early stages of development, it’s being produced by veterans of The Witcher series.
The Witcher is the first game in the RPG series. It is based on the novels of the same name by Andrzej Sapkowski. The Witcher was released in 2007.
