Anna Semenovich was injured at the skating rink: she was taken to the hospital

Singer and figure skater Anna Semenovich today took part in a big sports festival, which took place at the Luzhniki Stadium. However, things did not end very well for Semenovich. She was injured on the ice. The athlete shared the details with Moskovsky Komsomolets.

Together with her best friend, figure skater Anastasia Grebenkina, Anna held a master class in figure skating. While recording a video for social networks, while performing a figure skating element, Semenovich suddenly fell and hit the ice hard.

As it became known, the cause of the fall and injury was a professional sports injury to the meniscus, which she received many years ago. The singer’s workload during the New Year holidays also took its toll – she gave 16 concerts in different cities.

“During this unfortunate fall, it was as if I was transported almost 20 years ago. Then, before an important competition, the Russian Championship, where Roma Kostomarov and I became silver medalists, I suffered a knee injury for the first time during training. In 2000, our performance was in jeopardy, but I couldn’t let my partner and coaches down. I mustered all my will and, despite the pain and discomfort, several days after the injury I successfully skated the program. A few years later, alas, my leaked meniscus made itself felt again: a problem with my knee did not allow me to continue my career, and I left the big sport. And at the skating rink during the event, the old injury made itself felt again, as a result I fell and received a serious injury,” Anna Semenovich told MK.

It is noteworthy that Anna’s first emergency medical assistance was provided by her friend Grebenkina. She also insisted that Semenovich take off her skates and continue the event in regular shoes. But in front of the amazed public, some time after the fall, the figure skater returned to the ice, and even managed to sing a song while skating.

However, it would not have happened without a hospital. At the end of the event, Anna nevertheless went to the hospital for an examination by professional sports doctors. They carried out the necessary examinations, fixed the injured knee and sent the singer home to recover. According to the latest information, there was no fracture, but Semenovich is still contraindicated in skating, and no stress is recommended.
