Andrei Zamkovoy defeated Ivan Stupin at the Russian boxing championship in the weight category up to 71 kg by decision of the judges. The competitions were held at the Platinum Arena in Khabarovsk. Bronze went to Alexei Skomorokha and Igor Sviridchenkov.
36-year-old Zamkovoi became the eight-time champion of Russia. Prior to that, he won in 2010, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2020. This is a record for the number of gold medals at the Russian boxing championships.
In addition, Andrei Zamkovoy won the bronze of the Olympic Games twice (in 2012 and 2020). He also won the World Championship (2019) and is the silver medalist of the World Championship (2009).
