On the eve of the presidential elections in the Russian Federation, the governor of the Moscow region visited a polling station in Korolev. Andrei Vorobyov talked with members of the election commissions and assessed their readiness for voting.

“Over 36 thousand people in the Moscow region will work for three days, or even more. I’m here today to make sure everything is ready. Traditionally, our commission consists of people of noble professions, thank you for your patience, explanations, and smile. It is very important for us that there is discipline, order and legitimacy at every polling station. You have done a great job of visiting residents and informing them,” the governor said.

This year the elections coincided with Maslenitsa. In the Moscow region, voting participants will be treated to pancakes. Chairman of PEC No. 1054 Anna-Maria Vakar told the governor that this year even astronauts in orbit want to fulfill their civic duty through proxies. It is noted that over 844.6 thousand people submitted applications to participate in remote electronic voting in the Moscow region.

“We are expecting a high turnout in the presidential elections. Firstly, it is convenient that you can vote on different days, secondly, it is possible to vote remotely, and thirdly, they can come to you, in particular, the older generation. These are all modern election technologies, which are very important,” summed up Andrei Vorobiev.

The Russian presidential elections will take place from March 15 to 17.
