“Anatoly Chubais is no stranger to being guilty” – Kommersant FM

Vladimir Putin spoke at the plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum. According to the head of state, the authorities are not going to create a “nightmare” for business and no deprivatization is being carried out in the country, but everyone should follow the law. The President also touched upon the topic of entrepreneurs who left and for the first time commented on the departure of the ex-head of Rusnano Anatoly Chubais. Kommersant FM political commentator Dmitry Drize believes that the authorities are proposing to cast aside all doubts regarding the future path of development.

The plenary meeting of the Eastern Economic Forum predictably turned into another big press conference by Vladimir Putin. The main thesis that the Russian government has been conveying to the outside world over the past year or two remains unchanged – everything is fine with us. And those who try to claim the opposite either simply do not understand the essence of what is happening, or are outright enemies and misinformers.

Last few days there is a lot of talk about deprivatization as another threat to the stability of business activities. This topic was raised the day before, in particular, by the head of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Alexander Shokhin, as well as the Minister of Economic Development, Maxim Reshetnikov.

So Sberbank President German Gref spoke out cautiously – there are a large number of lawsuits from the General Prosecutor’s Office regarding historical transactions. The statute of limitations on them seems to have expired long ago, but in reality the opposite is happening, which directly threatens the investment attractiveness of the domestic economy.

Vladimir Putin commented on the situation as follows: there is no deprivatization and there will not be any. The authorities are not going to “make nightmares” for anyone, but everyone, including entrepreneurs, must comply with the law.

The Prosecutor General is aware of this position of the head of state – the head of the supervisory department Igor Krasnov, here in the hall, nods affirmatively. Well, no, no, we won’t argue.

Maybe sometimes it’s good to keep someone on edge so they don’t relax. Even if this issue is controversial, it is better to invest in Russia and not, according to the president, step on the same rake, not to flirt with the West.

The next problem, which is also related to business, is that unfortunately, some people leave and condemn their country, thanks to which they became rich and successful. In particular, Arkady Volozh and Oleg Tinkov did this.

Putin’s reaction, naturally, is negative: they chose a good life, but apparently lost their conscience, but we are generous and wish them health.

But suddenly they remembered Anatoly Chubais, perhaps in connection with deprivatization. He got it, for some reason he fled to Israel and even apparently changed his name and patronymic to unpronounceable ones.

However, the president himself comments on this situation: the businessman probably led the nanotechnology corporation poorly, and a financial hole has formed there. Anatoly Borisovich, in principle, is no stranger to being to blame for everything, although previously he was welcomed in the Kremlin, considered an effective manager and appointed to high positions. This is firstly, and secondly, the Jewish question has begun to arise often in our country lately.

Moreover, it seems that not in a particularly attractive format, so Trotsky (Bronstein) was also remembered, also not entirely in a favorable light. Although, in fairness, it is not a sin to recall that it was not he who said “Movement is everything, but the goal is nothing.” There was Eduard Bernstein, a social democrat, a revisionist, who lived in Germany in the 19th century. This is his phrase. And it doesn’t matter who the quote belongs to.

The main thing is the essence, it is that we have a goal, and we are confidently moving towards it. Maybe, indeed, not everyone understands the essence of the moment, where it is, a bright tomorrow.

If you don’t fully understand, the state knows that our path is correct, and it judges solely according to justice. Just do what they say and doubt less. That, as they say, is the whole story.
