Anastasia explained the bruises on her late mother’s face: “She died a martyr’s death!”

The ID card of a member of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia also disappeared.

Singer Anastasia said goodbye to her mother, director Lyudmila Saldadze. As we were leaving, an emergency happened. The artist discovered a huge bruise on the face of her late mother, who died in a psychiatric hospital in the Tver region. Anastasia is sure: her parent died a martyr’s death.

“I almost fainted when I saw my mother,” the singer sighs. “They didn’t show it to me. In the “psychiatric hospital”, when I asked to look at her, they did not allow me: “It’s not allowed.” In the crematorium, they could not even make up her. She has a huge bruise on the right side of her face. It was as if she had been given a strong slap in the face or had been hit with a fist… It was simply horrifying what she apparently experienced before her death. Even the money that has already disappeared – although the amount is sufficient – is not as important to me as what happened to my mother, first in the hospital in the city of Zubtsov, Tver Region, and then in the “psychiatric hospital”. I believe there has been a violation of rights and laws. And I won’t just leave it like that.

– What will be your actions?

– I have already contacted the police, testified before the Investigative Committee. In the near future I plan to contact the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin. I really hope that he will take this matter under personal control, and those responsible for my mother’s death, if found, will be punished. By the way, yesterday we told a high-ranking person about how my mother died. His hair stood on end. He says: “I would never believe that this happens in our time.” And, you see, it happens, it turns out.

– Mom didn’t have a chance to contact you?

– This is also a very interesting situation. We were given back my mother’s things, among which was her phone. We just discovered today that it doesn’t have SIM cards. That is, someone took them out, apparently so that she could not call me and ask for help. Her ID as a Member of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia, which she never parted with and which she always carried with her, also disappeared. Perhaps this was done so that she would end up in a psychiatric hospital not as a USSR State Prize laureate and a famous director, but as a simple grandmother. Yesterday, an acquaintance of mine was surprised: “How could she be transferred to a “psychiatric hospital” in one day without notifying her relatives? Can’t be!”

How do you see what really happened?

– I believe that there was a criminal story. By the way, her money was fastened to the front of her pants with a pin – you know, that’s what older people wear. For my mother, the 600 thousand that I gave her before hospitalization is a huge amount. She was generally very sensitive to money. I can imagine what happened to her when she discovered that the money was missing. Of course, she started making trouble…

– Where did the bruise on her face come from, do you think she was beaten?

– Purely mentally, morally, this is a very martyr’s death for an elderly person. She didn’t particularly complain about her health at all. That day, before the ambulance took her, she cleared the entire area with rakes – we have, for a minute, a whole hectare! She was such a physically strong person and suddenly died. I won’t just leave it like that and I will punish all those responsible for my mother’s death.
