Analysts called the days when the Russians most often cursed in social networks

From February 1 to November 24, Russians published about 67.4 million posts containing obscene language on social networks, reports RBC with reference to the statistics of the agency “Social Networks”. Most often, citizens cursed at the end of February. On average, the number of swear posts reaches 6.7 million per month.

On what days did Russians swear more often in social networks:

• February 24, the beginning of Russia’s military operation in Ukraine – 341 thousand messages (an increase of 2.5 times compared to the average monthly figure in February);
• February 25 – 280 thousand posts;
• February 27 – 375 thousand;
• March 12 – 280 thousand (introduction of the fourth package of EU sanctions);
• May 4 – about 224 thousand messages (the decision of Alla Pugacheva and her husband to sell their house in the Moscow region was actively discussed);
• August 9 – 215 thousand (scandal involving the musician Niletto, who cursed fans and journalists);
• August 24 – 210 thousand (the day of the detention of the ex-head of Yekaterinburg, Yevgeny Roizman, included in the register of foreign agents);
• September 21 – 250 thousand (beginning of partial mobilization);
• September 30 – 240 thousand (four new regions join Russia);
• October 8 – 225 thousand (explosion on the Crimean bridge).

In general, an increase in the number of posts with obscene language was noted in March (almost 8.8 million posts). In April, there were 7.7 million such messages. That month, three events were the reason, each of which accounted for up to 270 thousand messages with obscenities: April 4 (events in Bucha), April 6 (the death of Vladimir Zhirinovsky), April 14 ( fire on the missile cruiser Moskva).

The minimum rate of messages with obscene language was recorded in June – 6.3 million. In incomplete November, the number of posts with obscene language has so far reached 4.5 million.
