An unarmed self-defense championship was held among Oryol police officers

Over 50 Oryol police officers showed their skills in self-defense without weapons at the traditional championship of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs. The competition took place at the Dynamo sports complex, becoming the opening of the 2024 Regional Ministry of Internal Affairs Spartakiad.
The athletes were divided into six weight categories, where an intense and exciting battle unfolded. Each of the participants demonstrated a high level of preparation and technical skills.
The police showed their skills in various elements of self-defense, including wrestling techniques, strikes and special techniques designed to neutralize an opponent. All of this training was aimed at increasing the effectiveness of police work, improving public safety and protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens.
As the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Oryol region reported, based on the results of the fight, the winners in each of the weight categories were determined. All of them were awarded certificates, diplomas, medals and cups, recognition of their outstanding sporting achievements.
Such championships not only help keep police officers fit and healthy, but also help them improve their self-defense skills in difficult situations. They also help strengthen friendly relations between police officers, promote the development of collective spirit and discipline.
