An Udmurt athlete won gold at the Russian 24-hour running championship

Runner from Udmurtia Petr Zharikov won the Russian 24-hour running championship.
The press service of the Sports Training Center of Udmurtia said that competitions were held in Volgograd from September 30 to October 1. During the day, Pyotr Zharikov ran 263 kilometers and 799 meters, taking first place among men in the race.
Note that earlier – in April 2023 – Peter won gold at the Russian Cup in 24-hour running. Then he covered 264 kilometers, which is the standard for an international Master of Sports.
