A new overpass has been opened in Moscow from the inside of the Moscow Ring Road to the M-4 Don highway with an exit towards the region, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced. According to him, now traffic flows at the entrances to Moscow and M-4 will not intersect.
The mayor specified that the overpass was built as part of the reconstruction of the interchange at the intersection with Lipetskaya Street. In total, the interchange will have 18.6 km of roads, including one tunnel, seven overpasses and three pedestrian crossings. “We plan to complete large-scale work at the beginning of 2025,” Mr. Sobyanin wrote in Telegram.
The Moscow authorities have promised by the end of this year to complete and open traffic on the Northern understudy of Kutuzovsky Prospekt. Thus, the second toll highway after the Moscow High-Speed Diameter will appear in the city within a year. The six-lane road, in which private investors have invested 65 billion rubles, will connect Moscow City and the Moscow Ring Road.
