An outstanding boxer and coach of Karelia Anatoly Kurikov received the distinction

On Thursday, November 17, the premiere of the documentary film “267 Victories” took place in the cinema of Petrozavodsk. The film is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the outstanding sportsman of our republic Anatoly Kurikov. About it informs public “Sport is the norm of life in Karelia”.
After the show, the head of the Ministry of Education and Sports of Karelia, Roman Golubev, congratulated the legendary boxer on his jubilee and presented him with the honorable mentor badge.
Anatoly Kurikov has many victories behind him: he became a three-time winner of the USSR championship, a two-time champion of the RSFS, and a champion of the USSR Armed Forces. The boxer’s list of achievements also includes victories in international tournaments.
Master of sports of the USSR of international class after the end of his sports career for more than 40 years devoted himself to coaching and was able to “put on his feet” more than a dozen boxers, among which 5 are masters of sports of Russia.
