At the Championship of the North-Western Federal District in orienteering, which was organized in Pskov, a Karelian athlete distinguished himself. As reported in the public “Sport is the norm of life in Karelia”, a pupil of the sports school No. 2 of Petrozavodsk managed to win a gold medal following the results of three competitive days. Sergey Zubov won the victory, speaking in the group of boys under 17 years old.
Besides, Karelian orienteers showed good results in the framework of the Alexander Nevsky’s Wreath of Glory competition, which also took place in Pskov. Anastasia Glazunova turned out to be the best, fighting for the victory among girls and boys of 12 years old, Yordan Aina took the silver medal, and Matvienko Saveliy was in the top five.
