An indoor skate park is being set up in Novy Urengoy on behalf of the head of the YaNAO

In an empty building at 61 Montazhnikov Street in Novy Urengoy, an indoor year-round skate park is being set up — fans of sports and outdoor activities will be able to ride here in any weather. Andrey Voronov, the head of the gas capital, spoke about this in his social networks.

In August, the governor of the YaNAO, Dmitry Artyukhov, came to the city during his trip around the region while driving a car. “Honest Route” took him to the local skaters, they asked the head of the region to help them with the roof over the outdoor skate area. The governor instructed to find a place and equip a year-round skate park. Now such an object is being prepared for Installers – there are more than a thousand square meters.

“Let’s make repairs, the guys will help with cleaning on subbotniks, together with them we will draw a project. Let’s create a chat – let them decide what kind of skating equipment they need here: springboards, frames. I think that in December dozens of wheels of skateboards and scooters will make noise here. I am sure it will be a great point of attraction for teenagers and children,” Andrey Voronov announced.
