An exhausted roe deer drifting on an ice floe was rescued in the Tula region: video

Press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia published on Telegram, video footage of the rescue of a young roe deer that was carried away on a broken ice floe on the Oka River.

Rescuers called the rescue of the animal from trouble “Rescue Operation “Roe Deer”.

The department said that the incident occurred near the city of Aleksin in the Tula region. A local fisherman reported the emergency to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

“A pack of dogs scared a young roe deer. She ran out onto the thin ice of the Oka River and fell through. Rescuers on a hovercraft lifted the exhausted animal on board, warmed it and handed it over to local residents,” the report says.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations added that the roe deer will soon be released into the forest.

“Every life is important to us!” the department added.
