Oryol police officer Antonina Shmeleva became a two-time Russian champion in judo.
The competition recently ended in the city of Kemerovo. At the tournament, the Oryol region was represented by Antonina Shmeleva. The girl competed in the category up to 78 kilograms. She had four fights with rivals who are members of the national judo team. However, the Oryol resident turned out to be stronger and more resilient – a gold medal in her treasury of sporting achievements.
Thus, the Oryol resident became a two-time national champion. Previously, Antonina Shmeleva won the tournament in 2017.
According to the press service of the regional police, the girl joined the service in 2017. For the last three years, police lieutenant Shmeleva has been working in a separate battalion of the patrol service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the city of Orel. She is a master of sports in judo, and she also previously won the European Cup.
