American corporation Google released An emergency update for the Chrome browser that fixes a dangerous vulnerability. The company recommends updating your browser as soon as possible.
The patch contains seven security fixes, but the most dangerous of the vulnerabilities is CVE-2023-6345, associated with an integer overflow in the Skia 2D graphics library – it is used in Android, Chrome, Chrome OS, Flutter and other software.
Google said the exploit is already known to hackers and is being used. The Google Chrome browser updates automatically, after which it prompts the user to restart the application, but Google advises not to wait for automatic updates and update through the settings. In 2023, this is the sixth zero-day vulnerability to be patched urgently in Google Chrome.
