An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 was recorded in the Pacific Ocean near the Kamchatka Peninsula. This follows from data Kamchatka Branch of the Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The earthquake occurred at 07:06 local time Thursday (22:06 Moscow time). The source was located 128 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky at a depth of 18.2 km.
April 30 near the Shiveluch volcano in the east of Kamchatka in a day happened 15 earthquakes. Tremors were recorded at a distance of 80 km from Ust-Kamchatsk.
