A native of Udmurtia, Anzhelika Mikhalina, won a silver medal at the Russian Armwrestling Championship. Competitions were held from 14 to 19 March in the city of Orel.
According to the press service of the sports training center of Udmurtia, the republic was represented by 6 athletes: Danil Korepanov, Maxim Korepanov, Varvara Korepanov, Anzhelika Mikhalina, Rinat Saitgareev and Ilya Bogdanov. In total, more than 600 participants from 46 regions showed up from all over the country.
In the biathlon of the championship, Anzhelika Mikhalina took second place in terms of total points. In addition to the well-deserved award, she also qualified for the Russian national armwrestling team. Now the representative of Udmurtia will go to the World Championship in this sport.
