Anton Nesterenko became the winner of the 70-kilometer ultramarathon
The athlete from Solnechnogorsk completed the race in 6 hours 52 minutes and 49 seconds. The route of the marathon passed through the mountains and included a large number of ascents and descents. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the region.
More than 600 athletes took part in the race. Anton Nesterenko said that most of the route ran through beautiful and picturesque places. The athlete managed to get ahead and finish 10 minutes earlier than his opponent, who took second place.
The ultramarathon was held in Gelendzhik. On the first day, children’s races for 500 meters and 2 kilometers took place. On the second day of the competition, 4 main races were held: 10 kilometers with a climb of 500 meters, 25 kilometers with a climb of 1250 meters, 45 kilometers with a climb of 1850 meters and 70 kilometers with a climb of 2900 meters. All routes passed through mountain ranges overlooking the sea.
