An athlete from Karachay-Cherkessia, Islam Shanov, will represent the Russian team at the European Championship in the weight category up to 44 kilograms, the press service of the republican government reported.
Islam is the winner of the championship of Russia in Greco-Roman wrestling among youths under 16 years old.
The European Championship in Greco-Roman wrestling U-15 will be held July 6-9 in Hungary.
Previously it was reported that the Stavropol resident became the bronze medalist of the mountain ultra-race through the entire Caucasus “Armageddon”.
