The Krasnodar athlete won a gold medal at the Russian championship in wrestling. Competitions in the disciplines of grappling and grappling-gi took place at the end of August in Suzdal. The capital of the Kuban was represented at the tournament by Bogdan Skorokhodov, a pupil of the School No. 6.
The young man performed in the weight category up to 30 kilograms at the age of 12-13 years. Krasnodar’s competitors were 30 athletes from all over Russia. Despite this, the teenager managed to win the highest award.
Boris Tikhonenko, director of the sports department, stressed that experienced coaches Sergey Linchenko and Ali Magomedov were preparing the wrestler for the tournament.
