Sakhalinian Gleb Soloviev won the world championship in Thai boxing, which took place in Kemer in Turkey. More than 1,000 fighters from 77 countries competed for the awards of the competition, the press service of the Ministry of Sports of the Sakhalin Region reported.
13-year-old Gleb Soloviev competed in the weight category “over 71 kg”. In the first match he was expected by the representative of Montenegro, Dimitrija Toskovich, where the South Sakhaliner won an unconditional victory. In the final, Gleb met Aytekin Gyush from Turkey. As a result of the meeting, the island fighter was recognized as the strongest and won the gold medal of the world championship.
