In Krasnoyarsk, the results of the third competitive day of the Russian Cup in Alpine skiing were summed up. According to the results of the competition, an athlete from Sakhalin won a bronze medal, the press service of the Ministry of Sports of the Sakhalin Region reported.
More than 120 athletes took to the start of the giant slalom in the Bobrovy Log funpark. After the first run, 12 skiers were just a second away from the leader.
After the second descent, Muscovite Oleg Furaev (first place), Georgy Bilmak from St. Petersburg (second) and skier from Sakhalin Dmitry Pyshkin (third) were the fastest.
Two more Sakhalin residents were in the top ten: Alexander Mikhailov – eighth, Yuri Drugov – tenth.
In the women’s race, the islanders can take the seventh place of Rinata Abdulkayumova and the eighth place of Ellina Dyachenko.
