Artem Kashintsev, representing the Sakhalin region, took second place at the Russian Cup in Alpine skiing in Belokurikha, Altai Territory. Competitions are held from 1 to 4 February, the press service of the regional Ministry of Sports reported.
After the first track in the men’s slalom discipline, Semen Efimov, who competed for the Moscow Region and Altai Territory, was in the lead. His main opponent was the athlete of the Sakhalin Sports Training Center (CSP) Artem Kashintsev, who won silver. Bronze – Grigory Gusev (Moscow).
The women also had a tough fight. Sofya Krokhina, representing the Sakhalin Region and the regional CSP, was fourth on the first day of the competition. The top three included Anastasia Gornostaeva (Moscow), Maria Shkanova (Republic of Belarus), Elena Yakovishina (Kamchatka Territory).
