An athlete from Nevinnomyssk, Daria Popova, became the best in the North Caucasus in kickboxing, according to the Telegram channel of the city mayor Mikhail Minenkov.

The competition, in which 470 kickboxers participated, took place in Dagestan. Representatives from Ingushetia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkess Republic, North Ossetia and Chechnya competed for the awards of the Championship and the North Caucasian Federal District Championship.

Daria Popova was selected to the North Caucasian Federal District team for a trip to the Russian Championship. The athlete is trained by Eduard Sevumov.

Another representative of Nevinnomyssk, Egor Nekrakha, trained by Dmitry Boronov, became the silver medalist of the competition and also received a ticket to the Russian Championship.

It was previously reported that Stavropol taekwondo athletes brought 26 medals from all-Russian competitions.
