Another representative of Bashkiria climbed to the highest step of the podium at the World Championship in belt wrestling, held in Astana. Artur Zulkarnaev won a gold medal in the weight category up to 82 kg, said Minister of Sports Ruslan Khabibov.
Thus, the wrestler became a seven-time world champion. Also, two “silver” medals were brought to the team by Ilfak Ibatullin in the weight category up to 57 kg and Razil Shabiev – up to 75 kg.
Earlier, athletes of Bashkiria put three gold, silver and bronze awards in the collection box of the national team.
According to the results of the competition in the team standings, Russia is in first place, Kazakhstan is in second, and Turkmenistan is in third.
