An archery tournament with participants from 18 countries began in Chita

The international archery tournament for the prizes of the Honored Master of Sports of the USSR Vladimir Yesheev solemnly began on December 9 in Chita. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Sports of the Trans-Baikal Territory.

The competition brought together 530 of the strongest archers from Russia, Mexico, Armenia, China, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Tajikistan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Latvia, Kyrgyzstan, Romania, Colombia, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Turkmenistan and Sri Lanka.

The main prize of the tournament will be 180 thousand rubles. The President of the Russian Archery Federation, Vladimir Yesheev, wished the participants success in the fight for this award.

Governor of Transbaikalia Alexander Osipov told foreign athletes that most of the history of the development of this sport in Russia relates specifically to this region, and many archers also live in the region. He wished the participants, if not to achieve victory, then to reach a new level of skill.

Let us remind you, the competition will be held until December 12 in the sports and recreation complex “University” of ZabSU on the street. Barguzinskaya, 43a. Everyone is invited to cheer for their fellow countrymen.

It was previously reported that a reward of 150 thousand rubles had been prepared for the third place, and 120 thousand rubles for the third place. Another 100 thousand rubles will go to the coach of the absolute winner of the tournament.
