In the Argayash district of the Chelyabinsk region, an attacker smashed a memorial plaque that was unveiled in memory of Marcel Abdullin, a deceased member of the Northern Military District. “At night, a man came to the Kuzyashevskaya secondary school, on which hung a board, open to the unit of Marcel Abdullin, who died in the Northern Military District, and damaged it. Previously, he was drunk…” the source said.
As the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region notes, a drunk man dismantled the memorial plaque with a metal rod and then threw it into the fence.
The police detained an unemployed local resident who had no previous convictions. At the moment, law enforcement officers are looking into the motives of his act. Previously, door-to-door and door-to-door visits were carried out to establish the identity of the citizen. The issue of initiating a criminal case and choosing a preventive measure is being decided.
Marcel Abdullin is considered a hero in his village. According to the group “Cultural Life in Kuzyashev” on social networks, in 2003–2005 he served in Chechnya and was a combat veteran.
