“Amur Tigresses” from Khabarovsk won the first victory in their history over “Dynamo-Vladivostok”

This is the first serious match of the volleyball team from the banks of the Amur, as part of the pre-season training

Young and early. Just a little more than a month has passed since I was in Khabarovsk Resurrected women’s volleyball team introduced, called “Amur Tigresses” and here you are – the first match. Let it be friendly, but with closest rivals from Primorye – Dynamo-Vladivostok. Such a derby.

The game was preceded by some changes in the Khabarovsk team, they parted ways with one of the athletes, took two and chose a captain and vice-captain. According to the official wording, the club has ceased cooperation with the setter Alexandra Ponomareva. What really happened there – God knows, but this will happen all the time in a professional team. Well, it didn’t fit – it happens that it finds itself in another team. So good luck Alexandra.

A holy place is never empty and two new athletes came to the team. This is the setter Alina Rubtsova and the libero Victoria Koshman. Volleyball players played for St. Petersburg “Leningradka” and last season became the winners of the youth league of the championship of Russia. Alina has the title of the best setter in the youth league in the 2021-2022 season. Victoria is the best in the reception rating.

As for the captain and his first deputy, they were Anastasia Shchurina, the most titled athlete of the Amur Tigresses, and Irina Lobanova, winner of the VIII All-Russian Summer Universiade.

By agreement with the team from Primorye, the Khabarovsk team will have to play two matches – the first behind closed doors, but they promise to let spectators in the second. Games are held at the Tigrits home ground in the Universal Regional Sports Complex on the embankment.

The first game turned out to be difficult, but the Khabarovsk volleyball players showed themselves very well. The first set – 25:21, the second – 25:23 and the third – 25:20. As a result, a confident and first victory in the history of the Khabarovsk Territory team. There was another game, as it were, of a “cup”, but here the Primorsky volleyball players won.

The second game (with spectators) will take place on September 6 at 17:00, also in UKKS. They promise to let only subscribers in, so draw your own conclusions and be sure to come and see the revived Khabarovsk women’s volleyball live. And, of course, to support the team – the battle will be hot, the Primorye team will definitely try to win back.

As for the start of the season, already on September 10, the Amur Tigresses fly to Irkutsk to play in the Cup of Siberia and the Far East, and on October 16 in Vladivostok start matches of the preliminary stage Championship of Russia in volleyball among women, major league “B”, group “Siberia”.
