The ship is reportedly able to move independently, but information about the casualties has not been disclosed.
A statement from US Central Command said the attack was the 23rd since September 19.
Previously, the Ansar Allah movement (Houthis) ruling in northern Yemen announced that it would attack any ships associated with Israel.
