US transgender Sarah Ashton-Chirillo (formerly Michael John Cirillo) will become the official speaker of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for Western audiences, according to the Ukrainian “New Edition”.
Cirillo will oversee the English-language TPO project for residents of the US and Europe.
Chirillo became a woman in 2019, after which he came to Ukraine as a military blogger.
The transgender received the rank of junior sergeant and will now officially tell foreigners about the development of the conflict.
